The obligation for Halal Certification in Indonesia extends beyond just food and beverage products to include cosmetics, medicines, chemical products, genetically engineered goods, and general consumer goods. This mandate is enshrined in the Halal Product Assurance Law No. 33 of 2014, further clarified through derivative regulations such as Government Regulations, Ministerial Decrees, and Agency Head Decrees. Both consumers and producers are increasingly concerned about the halal status of products they use or manufacture, particularly for cosmetics, which involve complex formulations of ingredients that directly impact a product’s halal compliance. This E-Learning program is designed to educate participants on the critical importance of using halal-compliant materials and ensuring production facilities are free from haram (prohibited) or najis (impure) substances. To determine whether cosmetic ingredients meet halal criteria, a structured methodology is required to identify and analyze their compliance. Throughout the course, participants will explore: Key aspects of cosmetic ingredients, Production processes,Critical control points (titik kritis) for maintaining halal integrity. The program also reviews Fatwas issued by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) regarding halal cosmetics and permissible beauty procedures aligned with Islamic principles. Case studies will equip participants with practical skills to identify halal compliance challenges in cosmetic products. After enrolled this E-Learning course, participants will be able to: Identify and analyze the halal compliance of cosmetic ingredients, Apply Islamic legal frameworks to ensure adherence to halal standards. This comprehensive training ensures stakeholders can uphold consumer trust and regulatory requirements in Indonesia’s growing halal industry.
